Volunteers

Volunteers are the life-blood of any large sporting event, and this is especially true for Ultimate and Guts tournaments.

Shift Schedule

A preliminary schedule has been posted. It will be updated again about 4-5 days before the event.

Volunteer Manual

The Volunteer Manual is available for your review. You will receive a hard-copy during orientation, so you do not need to print it. Note that some times in the schedule have changed; refer to the schedule on this website for the latest info.

Becoming a Volunteer

Would you like to participate? We have opportunities for hundreds of people to contribute to the event's success. Most jobs are posted on this site. If you do not see a specific job which appeals to you, apply as a General Volunteer to get your name in the mix. Or check back regularly to see what's become available.

Volunteers get great perks including:

  • An official WUGC 2008 Disc and a GAIA wicking t-shirt
  • Access to Volunteer Central during the week, a great place to chill out with cooling fans, food, drinks, and ultimate coverage on the TV.
  • Access to the Saturday Night Party (with players, media and guests)
  • Volunteer Hat tournament on July 26, and Volunteer BBQ on August 10
