WFDF 2008 World Ultimate & Guts Championships

Dear friends,

I am looking for people who could possible billet my fellow Venezuelan Ultimate team-mates for 3, 4 or 5 days before the World International Ultimate Tournament starts on August 2nd 2008 at UBC.

The reason for asking you this is because almost everybody in the team has mad a huge economical effort to come to this tournament in Vancouver. Coming from a country where the economy is at the worst in its history with monthly salaries from $100 -$500 for some of the players who actually can work, as half the delegation that is coming from Venezuela are students. They have had to pay high season air fares of $2000.

In the past Canadians have billeted the Venezuelan Team and in some cases establishing friendships that have lasted many years.

We ask you to provide them with a sleeping bag and a space on the floor. Whatever else you want to help them with it's up to you, but not mandatory at all.

Some of them can speak a bit of English but the majority just Spanish. If you can help us in any way please contact me directly at 604-318-0591.
