Cheap rental cars in Vancouver

I've been looking around at the websites for rental cars and they all seem to be more expensive than I expected. I'm wondering if this is just what it costs over there, or if only the larger more expensive places are the only ones I've managed to find.

For 5 days, about the cheapest I could find is just over $400CAD.

In Perth for example, I got a car for 2 weeks for about $380AUD (Less in CAD)

If anyone in Vancouver knows of cheap car rental places, feel free to post the info here!

Pickup location may be a factor

I often use Enterprise, but after checking I see a big variance depending on where you pick up the car. For one week (Aug 2-9):
- pickup at Airport: $346/week + charges = ~$470.
- pickup in Richmond: $180/week = charges = ~$220.

Google returns a number companies you could check (although I'm assuming you've done that already).

Hi there! I usually rent my cars from Enterprise Rent a Car. They are about $135-$200 for one week's rental. If you go to www.enterpriserentacar.ca and use coupon code: ETC7HC - you can probably save an additional 10%-25% off of your rental as well. It doesn't work for the "Airport" location though (which ironically isn't even located at the airport), but they will pick you up from the Airport and take you to the location you wish. Thanks - that's exactly the sort of place I was after... I can't get a full quote from them without seemingly giving them all my CC details (Additional surcharges, local taxes, etc. may apply) but they do look cheaper than the other places I found.
