Beer Garden Bartender

A Beer Garden (BG) Bartender must be a responsible individual over the age of 19 who has good customer service relation skills. They will be responsible for serving alcoholic beverages to BG patrons with valid identification and prepaid alcoholic beverage tickets. The BG Bartender will liaise with BG patrons while working with other BG or tournament staff. This position requires you to have "Serving it Right" - BC’s responsible beverage service program. http://www.servingitright.com/

Responsibilities: 

 Ensuring purchasers of alcoholic beverages are 19 years of age or older.
 Collecting prepaid tickets for alcoholic beverages.
 Keeping the bar area clean and presentable.
 Liaising with BG security and other BG or tournament staff.
 Setting up or closing down the BG each day.
 Stocking the BG facilities with alcoholic beverages.

Qualifications: 

 Effective and friendly communicator.
 Multi-tasker.
 Able to lift heavy items.
 Must be 19 years of age or older.
 Previous bartending experience would be an asset.
 Ability to tap fresh kegs and pour draft beer.
 Required to hold a “Serving It Right” certificate from the BC Liquor Control and Licensing Branch. Email volunteers@wugc2008.com for training information.

Commitment: 

Minimum 3 shifts (16 available shifts – 2 shifts a day of ~4 hours in length from either 12:00pm-4:00pm or 4:00pm-8:00pm)
