Description: 

This is an important position with the organizing committee. You will manage delivery of Information Technology services for WUGC participants, staff and volunteers.

Deliverables:
- Wireless Internet for participants & guests
- Internet Cafe for participants & guests
- Large display screens around WUGC site
- Computers in Disc Central for staff (possibly)

Responsibilities: 

- Create plan for delivery of IT services, including provision, setup and support of all systems.
- Build a team of volunteers, as required.
- Find and contract vendors or partners, as required. We have contacted some potential vendors already.
- Manage volunteers and contractors to ensure delivery of service.

Qualifications: 

- Experience managing IT systems and personnel. This is a coordination role, not a do-it-yourself role, so you do not need to be extremely technical.
- Driven to provide timely and quality customer service
- Experience negotiating and managing contracts with third-party vendors. This can be handled by the Executive, if necessary.

Notes: 

- This is a volunteer position. Funds are available for vendor contracts and possibly for Tech Support staff during the event.
