Description: 

This is an important position with the organizing committee. You will work with UltiVillage and other partners to offer video services for WUGC 2008. UltiVillage will handle DVD production and some video work. We need someone to coordinate webcasting specifically, and bring all pieces together for the event.

Deliverables:
- DVD: Create DVD's for delivery post-tournament: Full Highlights, Team-specific, and Volunteers (optional).
- Rolling Video: Continuous display of game footage and other info on large screens around the WUGC site.
- Webcast: Broadcast some games live over the Internet (e.g. showcase games, finals).
- Sportscast (optional): Production of a daily show for broadcast in the evening. Highlights, commentary, interviews, etc.

Responsibilities: 

- Create plan for delivery of video services, working closely with UltiVillage and the WUGC Executive.
- Build a team of volunteers, as required.
- Find and contract vendors or partners, as required.
- Manage volunteers and contractors to ensure delivery of service.

Qualifications: 

- Good understanding of the Ultimate community, especially players' interests and attitudes towards their sport
- Understanding of video technologies and production processes
- Experience negotiating and managing contracts with third-party vendors. This can be handled by the WUGC Executive, if necessary.

Notes: 

- This is primarily a volunteer position, but a stipend will be provided. In addition, revenue-sharing is possible for any funds generated through sponsorship, advertising, sales or webcasting.
- This position reports to the Technical Director.
